A Celebration of Life Service to honor the life and legacy of Lois Kazemba age 89, of Lakefield, will be held Thursday, November 14th at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley with Pastor Adam Jacobsen officiating. Burial will be in Lakefield Memorial Cemetery in Lakefield, MN.
A visitation for Lois will be held one hour before the service on Thursday, November 14th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley.
Lois LaVonne Kazemba was born on February 20, 1935, in Sioux Valley, Minnesota to the late Martin and Nellie (Place) Kazemba. She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian Faith at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley, where she was a lifelong member. She attended Sioux Valley Country School and graduated from Sioux Valley High School in the Class of 1953.
Lois worked at Stensrud Grocery in Lakefield for many years. She also worked at Merv's Flooring and Furniture and Greely Gas Company.
Faith and family were of the utmost importance to her, which was especially shown when she gave her brother, Marvin, a kidney in 1972.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoyed puzzling, gardening and playing cards. She was also an avid walker. You would see her walking around Lakefield.
Lois Kazemba passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Lakefield, MN.
She is survived by nieces, Diane (Rick) Schaefer of Fairmont, LeAnn (Stan) Pohlman of Lakefield, JoLynn Nerhus of Windom, Jolene (Randy) Lenz of Adrian; nephews, Dale (Jayne) Kazemba of Lakefield, Duane (Lenora) Kazemba of Jackson, Doug (Sharon) Kazemba of Yankton, South Dakota; Donald Kazemba of Fredricksburg, IN, Ross Kazemba of Storden, MN, Rodney Kazemba of Sussex, WI, Terry Kazemba of Lakefield; sister-in-law, Mary Kazemba of Jackson and numerous great nephews and nieces.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Nellie Kazemba; brothers, Marvin Kazemba, Loren Kazemba; sister-in-law, Barb Kazemba; niece-in-law, Patty Kazemba and nephew-in-law, Brant Nerhus.
Blessed be the memory of Lois Kazemba.
