Lois Irene Larson was born on September 27, 1922, in Carrington, North Dakota to the late Carl A. and Ella (Hoyt) Nerem. She was baptized on November 12, 1922, in Carrington and confirmed at the Sharon Lutheran Church in Lamberton, Minnesota on June 27, 1937. Lois received her early education in country school District 38 in Highwater Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota and graduated from Lamberton High School in the Class of 1940. On April 18, 1941, Lois was united in marriage to Victor Larson. They farmed together south of Storden and Lois worked for a short time at the TORO manufacturing in Windom. Victor died in 1981. After his death, Lois remained on the farm in rural Storden and in 2013, she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Westbrook where she lived until passing away on Saturday morning, November 19, 2016, at the age of 94 years. Lois was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden. She had many enjoyments in life which included gardening, flowers, needle work, crafts, reading, traveling, her home and spending time with her family. Lois is survived by her two children, Dianne Huso and her husband, Kenneth of Stanardsville, Virginia; Bruce Larson and his wife, Suzanne of Worthington; four grandchildren, Amy (Eric) Harcourt; Rebecca (Leonard) Josephs; Christine Larson; Deborah Huso; five great-grandchildren, Haley, Ethan, Aiden, Neela and Heidi; one brother, Raymond(Arlene) Nerem of Lamberton; many nieces and nephews. Lois is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor Larson; four brothers, Kermit, Carl, Russell and Donald; three sisters, Melba, Frances and Anone. Blessed be the memory of Lois Irene Larson.
