A Celebration of Life Service for Loren Kazemba, age 92, of Jackson, Minnesota, formerly of Sioux Valley, will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley with Pastor Adam Jacobsen officiating. Burial will be in the Sioux Valley Township Cemetery.
A time of visitation and gathering will be held on Saturday, May 11th for one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley.
Loren Lester Kazemba was born on October 6, 1931, in Sioux Valley, Minnesota to the late Martin and Nellie (Place) Kazemba. He was baptized and confirmed into the Christian Faith at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley. He attended Sioux Valley Country School and graduated with the Class of 1950.
On December 4, 1966, Loren was united in marriage to Mary Bares. This union was blessed with seven children, Doug, Donald, Ross, Rodney, JoLynn, Jolene, and Terry. Through the years, Loren worked on the family farm and enjoyed the work of a farmer tending to livestock, and growing crops. In 1992, Loren and Mary moved to Jackson. Loren then worked at Livewire Printing in Jackson for over 25 years until retiring. Besides farming, Loren enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Loren was a long-time member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley, serving as an usher, a Sunday school teacher, and custodian of the church.
Loren Kazemba passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Jackson, Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Kazemba of Jackson; children, Doug (Sharon) Kazemba of Yankton, SD, Donald Kazemba of Fredericksburg, IN, Ross Kazemba of Storden, Rodney Kazemba of Sussex, WI, JoLynn Nerhus of Windom, Jolene (Randy) Lenz of Adrian, and Terry Kazemba of Sioux Valley; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Kazemba of Lakefield, MN; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Nellie Kazemba; brother, Marvin (Barb) Kazemba; daughter-in-law, Patty Kazemba; son-in-law, Brant Nerhus; and granddaughter, Heather.
