Loring Dale Paschke was born on October 4, 1945, to the late Arlyn and Doris (Porter) Paschke in Winnebago, Minnesota. He was baptized and later confirmed at the Winnebago Methodist Church. His early years and education began in Winnebago before moving to Windom during his teenage years. He graduated from Windom High School and continued his education at South Dakota State University earning his bachelor's degree in Ag Education. Loring enlisted in the United States Army after completing 4 years of ROTC, serving as First Lieutenant in Artillery. He was awarded a Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. After serving his country, Loring returned home in 1971 and took over the family farm. Loring and Marge ran a successful dairy operation from 1971-1993 then transitioned to raising Black Angus cattle from 1993-2014 while also working for AgCo in Jackson, Minnesota.
On August 26, 1967, Loring was united in marriage to Marjorie Rossow. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Lenorr, Julianne, Joanna, and Andrew. Loring was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family and friends knew that Loring could fix anything with a bit of duct tape. He spent years committed to volunteering as a 4-H Project Leader, was a member of the Milk Producers Board, a member of the Delafield Cemetery Board, and Sexton of the Cemetery. Throughout the years, Loring served the American Lutheran Church as an usher, on the call committee, and was on various boards.
Loring enjoyed coffee with the guys, talking about and collecting (life-sized) vintage tractors, and watching the Vikings and Twins. Some of his regular highlights throughout the year include attending his grandchildren's activities, daily 3:00 pm coffee time with Marge, and Plowing Day at Delft.
On Friday, September 22nd, Loring passed away at Windom Area Hospital in Windom.
