Lorraine Florence Anderson was born on November 23, 1933 in Heron Lake, Minnesota to the late John "Jack" and Florence (Renczykowski) Pawlitschek. She was baptized at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heron Lake and was later confirmed in that same church. Lorraine received her education in Heron Lake until attending Jeffers Public Schools her senior year; graduating in the Class of 1951.
On February 14, 1952 Lorraine was united in marriage to Ray Hjelm Anderson in Jeffers, Minnesota. They were married for 66 years. This marriage was blessed with five children, John, Mike, Jim, Kent, and Karen. After the children were all in school, Lorraine attended Worthington Community College and received her LPN degree. She then worked at the hospitals in Worthington and Windom and at Tegels Chiropractic Office in Windom. After retiring she worked part-time at South West Hearing in Windom. Lorraine enjoyed traveling throughout the United States including Alaska. She also traveled to Canada, Germany, Italy, Belgium, France, Denmark, and the Netherlands. She also enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports and music. Her hobbies included reading, fishing, watching wildlife and bird watching.
Lorraine was a longtime member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom where she taught CCD and served as chairperson of the Women's Guild. For many years she was responsible for the churches prayer chain.
In 2015, Lorraine became a resident of Sogge Memorial Good Samaritan Society. It was there that she passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the age of 86 years.
Lorraine is survived by her five children, John (Tami) Anderson of Windom; Mike (Janet) Anderson of Windom; Jim (Vicki) Anderson of Windom; Kent (Jackie) Anderson of Renner, SD; Karen (Dean) Kappes of Kent, MN; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Geraldine (Paul) Maras of Windom; one brother, Gary Pawlitschek of Winnebago; two sister-in-laws; a brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ray Anderson (10-24-18); and brother, Larry Pawlitschek .
