Louis Richard Eastwood Jr, known to family and friends as "Heavy" was born on April 14, 1950, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Delores Harrison and Louis Richard Eastwood Sr. He attended school in Eagle Grove, Iowa before enlisting in the United States Army at the age of 17. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

After his military service he continued his education in electronics. He was self-employed for many years in the electronics repair business. He later worked as a maintenance and scale technician in the meat processing industry.

Heavy met the love of his life and best friend, Carol Kingsbury, and the two were united in marriage on April 12th, 1980, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Together they built a loving home with their children and shared many cherished years together.

Heavy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved the outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing, gardening, or camping. He also enjoyed leatherworking and took pride in creating a variety of handcrafted items.

On Sunday, July 12, 2026, Heavy passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his home in Jeffers, MN.

Left to cherish Heavy's memory are his loving wife, Carol Eastwood; his children, Jessica (Lonnie) Roiger of Jeffers, Minnesota, Amanda (Alec) Nolte of Windom, Minnesota, Louis (Savahnah) Eastwood III of Lake Preston, South Dakota, and Dylan Eastwood of Valley Springs, South Dakota; his daughter-in-law, Amanda Eastwood of Martensdale, Iowa; his grandchildren, Jeron Eastwood, Charlotte Eastwood, Keelee Eastwood, Joshua (Jordan) Nemechek, Ayden Eastwood, Wyatt Roiger, Emmet Roiger, Liam Nolte, Carson Nolte, Oliver Nolte, Bodie Eastwood, and Stetson Eastwood; his great grandchildren, Jax Tischer, Myles Nemechek, Addison Nemechek; his siblings, Jim (Lani) Grider, Steve (Kathy) Pietsch, Lisa (Ron) Rotnicke, Luann (Natalie) Pietsch, Toni Eastwood, Mike (Pam) Eastwood, and Terry "Bear" Eastwood; along with many other relatives and friends.

Heavy was preceded in death by his beloved son, Joshua Eastwood; his brother, Douglas Bulten; his parents, Delores (Harrison) and Marlin Pietsch; and Frieda and Louis Eastwood; parents-in-law, Marlys and Ralph Kingsbury; brother-in-law, Dennis Kingsbury and sister-in-law, Diane Richardson.
