Louis Stanley Malchow passed away on June 23, 2020 at his home at the age of 71 years.
Louis was born to Mervin and Dorothy (Lienke) Malchow of Bingham Lake, MN on October 13, 1948. Louis was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom, MN. Louis spent his life on the family farm and was a steward of the land.
Louis had a lifelong commitment to his faith. He was a devout servant of the Lord and his church. Louis was an avid letter writer and it didn't matter who you were he would end each with the phrase "Keep Jesus as your friend."
Family was of the utmost importance to Louis. He made sure to attend every family event regardless of the location. On your birthday you could always guarantee that you would receive a card from Louis.
After retiring from farming, Louis enjoyed numerous bus trips to various events. Each summer he attended the parades and fairs that took place in the area. A simple pleasure was going to Cottonwood Lake in Windom and enjoying the solitude of looking out at the lake.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents Mervin and Dorothy, and brother Karl.
Louis is survived by his sister-in-law, Henrietta: nephews Todd (Lisa Tanner); Mike (DeeDee); Kalan (Renee); Great nephews Ben, Zachary, and Derek. Great nieces Kassandra, Bridgette, Alyssa, Brandi, Keeleigh, Brooklyn, and Mishaela. Numerous cousins who were important to Louis.
