A Celebration of Life service to honor the life and legacy of Margaret Henrichs, age 100, of Jackson, will be held at Salem Lutheran Church on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM with a time of visitation and gathering from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. A Private Family Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Jackson

Margaret was born August 26, 1924 in Ottertail Co., MN to Elvin and Amanda (Dahlager) Synstelien. She graduated from Ashby High School in 1942 and moved with her family to the Jackson area in 1944. She worked at Jackson Cafe, Beeches Cafe and the Red Owl Store. Margaret married Floyd Henrichs on April 13, 1946. Together, they had two children, Patricia and Curtis. They owned and operated Land O' Lakes Milk Delivery until 1981. Floyd and Margaret were also custodians at Salem Lutheran Church until Floyd's death in 1985.

Volunteer work was a big part of Margaret's life. She was active in church, Ladies Aid, Esther Circle, and the Good Samaritan Home where she spent 2-3 days per week. Margaret also volunteered at Senior Dining for over 30 years serving on the Site Council and being president and treasurer for many years. Her volunteer work led to several awards including Senior Citizen of the Year in 1997, Good People/Jefferson Award in 1995, Modern Woodmen of America recognition for outstanding service in 1997 and Angels Unaware in 2001.

Margaret Arlene Henrichs, age 100, passed away peacefully at Sanford Medical Center in Jackson on May 16, 2025.

Margaret is survived by her children Pat (Jerry) Walton of Benson, MN and Curt (Karla) Henrichs of St. Peter; grandchildren Cheryl Miller, David (Heather)Walton, Thomas Walton, Christina Bartz and Kelly Henrichs; four great grandchildren Rayne, Autumn, and Jazmin Walton and Summer Larson; one great granddaughter Graclynn Walton; one brother Richard (Mary Terese) Synstelien and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd, brothers Carling Synstelien and wife Eleanor, Robert Synstelien and wife Merry, Harold Synstelien and wife Lois; sisters Sylvia Knutson and husband Alvin, Dagney Zimmerli and husband Jacob (Wesley), Alphild Pieper and husband Jim.

A special thank you to the staff of the Good Samaritan home for their care and kindness during Margaret's stay there since October of 2022.
