Mariah Desiree Nelson was born on September 19, 1992, in Fort Dodge, IA to Donnie Oeltjenbruns. She received her education at Jackson County Central Public Schools in Jackson. Mariah had three daughters, Serenidee, Zariah, Armani and one son, Symere.
On November 13, 2021, Mariah, Symere and Zariah were involved in a fatal car accident by the Iowa Minnesota border where they passed away from their injuries, Mariah age 29, Symere age 1 and Zariah age 6.
Mariah will be remembered for her enjoyment of hanging with family and friends, her love of Nike tennis shoes which she had about 100 pairs, listening to music, and joking around. She was willing to lend a hand to anyone and could always make you smile especially with her quick-witted sense of humor. She was a hard worker and was currently employed at the BP gas station in Jackson where she was great with customers and always had a smile on her face.
Symere was the happiest little boy, always having a smile on his face and had the most uniquely distinguished, contagious laugh you had ever heard, so full of life and love. He was almost always at his sisters' side as they were inseparable and often finding mischief together. Symere was a true mama's boy. When Symere wasn't with his sisters you could find Symere watching his favorite cartoon Cocomelon cuddled up with Mariah. He was just learning to walk.
