Marian E. (Moller) Tibodeau was born on July 3, 1943, at Windom Hospital in Windom, Minnesota, to Fred and Margaret (Brink) Moller. Family always came first for Marian, and she was a caring and thoughtful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
She grew up in the country between Windom and Jeffers. Marian graduated from Jeffers High School in the Class of 1961. After high school, Marian was wed to Ronald Tibodeau, and although the marriage ended in divorce, she was blessed with a son, Brett, and three handsome grandsons, Joshua, Jared and Caleb. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandsons.
The family moved to Windom, where Marian remained for the rest of her life. Marian was employed as the Ag Program Coordinator with the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) until January 1996. Upon retirement from the USDA, she worked part time at the Guardian Inn of Windom.
Marian had a true gift for conversation and connection. She faithfully kept in touch with family and treasured coffee dates with friends. Always thoughtful, she made a habit of checking on others, offering a listening ear and lifting loved ones up in prayer.
Her smile came easily and was often accompanied by a gentle sense of humor and playful teasing. Marian loved road trips with her family and proudly visited all the contiguous United States. She was musically gifted and played the organ and piano. She also found joy in quiet moments spent reading and tending her flower gardens.
Marian was known for helping whenever she was needed and held various roles within the First Baptist Church of Windom. She enjoyed sharing her faith with children and taught Sunday School in her younger years. In her retirement, she delivered Meals on Wheels.
With declining health, Marian was placed in hospice care. She passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Brett Tibodeau of Windom; three grandsons, Joshua, Jared and Caleb Tibodeau of Windom; sister, Jorie (Kevin) Erickson; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Moller; as well as relatives and friends.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Margaret Moller; brother, Dean Moller; and daughter-in-law, Lana Tibodeau.
Blessed be the memory of Marian Tibodeau, whose warm smile and caring heart will be remembered by all who knew her.
