A Celebration of Life Service for Marie Snider, age 83, of Windom, will be held at LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom on Friday, January 9th at 10:00 AM, with a time of visitation and gathering for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.

Marie Elizabeth Snider of Windom, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, with her daughter by her side. Born in Windom to the late Cyril Malady and Lenore (Gravley) Malady on November 12, 1942. The oldest of three daughters, Marie grew up in Windom and eventually raised her two children, Jesse Snider and Lis (Snider) McDonald there.

Marie's greatest joy was her family, and she spent many afternoons with not only her children, but her sisters, niece, nephews, and cousins. Later in life, this also included her grandchildren. She was also a lover of Western movies, Elvis Presley, reading, and coffee with "The Ladies".

She is survived by her two children, Jesse (Tina) Snider of Windom and Lis (Bill) McDonald of Watertown, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Allison (Patrick) Musegades, Aleah Peterson, Brian McDonald, Jamie (Josh) Wedemeier, Nikki McDonald, Stephanie (Matt) Farber, Alex (Aly) Peiffer and Mari (Cullen) Andrera; sixteen great-grandchildren; as well by her sister by birth, Sherry (Gary) Even, and her sister in later life, Dorothy Meyer.

Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Lenore Hale; father, Cyril Malady; stepfather, George Hale; sisters, Kay Lee and Patti Malady; brother-in-law, Don Meyer; as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
