Mark Douglas Schoenenberger was born on February 9, 1957, to Melvin and Shirley (Earp) Schoenenberger in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He attended primary school at Winfair Elementary in Windom, Minnesota and later graduated from Windom High School in the class of 1976.
Mark lived most of his life in Windom, but for a period of about 16 years, he moved out to the farm in Storden and helped his aunt and uncle, Christine and John Bondhus. He worked on the farm with them, and he especially loved taking care of the pigs.
Mark was a very private person, but he enjoyed his family. He adored his Collie that he affectionately named Lassie. Mark loved going on fishing trips, and some of the best times were with Christine & John to Lake Winnie, and the Canadian fishing trip with John, Melvin, and Brian. Mark was also a passionate fan of the MN Vikings and MN Twins.
On November 20, 2023, Mark passed away peacefully, at the age of 66, at Country View Senior Living in Walnut Grove, Minnesota, where he had been a resident for a short period of time.
Left to cherish Mark's memory, are his mother, Shirley Schoenenberger of Windom; sister-in-law, Norma Schoenenberger of Windom; nieces, Andrea Schoenenberger of Hull, IA, and Ashley (Derick) Fuchs of Windom; great-niece and nephew, Addison and Maverick; aunt, Barbara LaMaack of Blue Earth; and many cousins.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Melvin; brother, Brian; grandparents, Joseph & Evelyn Schoenenberger, and Alfred & Alma Earp; aunts and uncles, Earl LaMaack, Don (Donna) Schoenenberger, Christine & John Bondhus, and Nina & Elmer Radar.
