Mary Jean Eidem, age 96, of Jeffers, passed away on Friday, January 6th, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom. A private, graveside service will be held in the Spring of 2023 in the Jeffers Cemetery in Jeffers, Minnesota.

Mary Jean Eidem was born on February 12, 1926, on a farm in Amboy Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota, to the late Anton and Venita (Buffham) Eidem. She graduated from Jeffers Public Schools in 1949. She very much enjoyed history class and helping on the farm through the years. In 1987, she moved to Jeffers, and in 2011, to Peterson Estates in Westbrook, which she enjoyed very much. In 2021, Mary Jean became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Windom, and she passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the age of 96 years.

Mary Jean Eidem was a longtime member of the Jeffers United Methodist Church in Jeffers. She had many enjoyments in life which included being an avid reader of history and mystery books, taking many guided bus trips to several states through the years and watching TV, especially westerns and the Hallmark Channel.

Mary Jean is survived by her one brother, David (Marlene) Eidem of Mankato; nephew, Dale "Butch" (Julie) Eidem of Jeffers and their children, Anthony Eidem, Nikki (Mike) Schowalter and their children Jaden and Aubrey; niece, Lisa Vossen of Mankato and her children, Justin and Megan Vossen; nephew, Joel (Julie) Eidem of Wayzata and their children, Sydney (Hayden) Corder, Nicholas Eidem, and Shannon (Chase) Traeger and their son, Finn.

Mary Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Venita Eidem.
