Obituary

Mary Ann (Kasper) Keffeler was born to Frank and Barbara (Duwenhoegger) Kasper in Iona, Minnesota on February 2, 1929. Mary Ann graduated from St. Columbia High School and then took a course in Business and Secretarial work at Mankato Commercial College. Mary Ann was employed at Carney Co Inc. and then Metropolitan Farm Mortgages. In 1952, Mary Ann was united in marriage to Lowell Timm at St. Columbia in Iona. In 1957, they moved to California with four children: Paula, Randy, Susan, and Richard. In California, two more children were born to this union, Debra and Pamela. Lowell was employed with Jewell Tea Company and Mary Ann worked at an Insurance Adjuster Agency. In 1964, Mary Ann and children returned to Iona following a dissolution of her marriage to Lowell. Mary Ann worked at Campbell Soup in Worthington and then at Lakefield Schools until retiring. In 1981 Mary Ann and Robert (Bob) Keffeler were married in Lakefield. They enjoyed traveling within the United States and visiting the children. Bob passed away in 2008. Mary Ann was a longtime member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom. Mary Ann loved nature, flowers, and birds. She enjoyed volunteering at the Sharing Center and Meals on Wheels. She liked to shop, play cards, and visit the casinos with family and friends. After an accident, Mary Ann had been in a hospital and nursing home facility in Fairmont and Pine View Assisted Living Home in Windom. She appreciated all the excellent care she had received in both places. On July 19, 2020, Mary Ann passed away peacefully at Pine View Assisted Living in Windom at the age of 91 years. Mary Ann is survived by six children: Paula (Rick) Gutheridge of Cass Lake; Randy (Mardell) Timm of Miltona; Susan (Tony) Drahos of Rochester; Richard Timm of Madelia; Debra (Peter) Wolff of Elysian; Pamela Timm of Blue Earth; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding Mary Ann in death are her parents, Barbara and Frank; husbands, Lowell and Robert; and six brothers; John, James, Dale, Vick, Don and Robert Kasper.
