Maxine Ann Bussa was born on February 26, 1931, to the late Rollie Ramon and Jessie Lenore (Sisson) Haldeman, in Fairmont, Minnesota. Maxine attended elementary school at Lincoln Elementary in Fairmont and graduated from Fairmont High School with the class of 1949.
On December 2, 1951, Maxine was united in marriage to Alvin E. Bussa at the Methodist Church in Fairmont. This marriage was blessed with three sons, Mark, Brad, and Paul. After marriage, Maxine and Al lived in several different areas which included, Armstrong, IA, Marshall, MN, Buffalo Center, IA and then moved to Windom in 1966. Maxine was very proud of her work assisting Dr. Lindholm in Armstrong, IA. After moving to Marshall, Maxine waitressed before moving to Buffalo Center where she worked as an aide at the Buffalo Center Hospital. Maxine was s very caring, loving wife and mother.
Maxine was a longtime, dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church in Windom where she was a deacon for many years, the church secretary and involved with the Presbyterian Women. She also was a member of the Windom Hospital Auxiliary. Maxine had many enjoyments in life which included needlepoint, drawing, coloring, playing cards with family and friends and spending time with her family.
Recently, Maxine became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom and remained there until passing away on Monday evening, June 13, 2022, at the age of 91 years.
Maxine is survived by her children, Bradley (Linda Marie) Bussa of Windom, Paul (LaShawn) Bussa of Marion, SD, daughter-in-law, Linda Joy Bussa of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jonathan (Sherry) Nelson of Santa Cruz, CA; grandchildren, Travis (Susan) Bussa, Alicia (Roy) Taggart, Bryce Bussa, Carrie (Eric) Isola, Jessi (Shawn) Colbert, Cassy (Joe) Jurgens, Jordan (Leah) Bussa, and Seth Bussa; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Phyllis Neppl; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin Bussa, on March 14, 2010; son, Mark Bussa; sister-in-law, Betty Elman; three brothers, Kenneth, Ronald (Clyde) and Howard Sisson; two sisters, Elaine Spear and Naomi Harris.

A Celebration of Life Service for Maxine Bussa, age 91, of Windom, will be held on Monday, June 20th at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Windom, with Reverend Pam Prouty officiating. Burial will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.
Visitation and time of gathering will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 19th at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom.
