Merle A. Bass was born on September 29, 1969, in Windom, Minnesota to Ernest and Gladys (Gunder) Bass. He received his education in the Sauk Centre and Windom Public Schools. Soon after completing his education, Merle began to work at the DAC in Windom until health reasons forced him to retire. Merle was currently living at the Home for Creative Living where he enjoyed and appreciated the care he was given. On Saturday, February 20, 2021, Merle passed away at his home in Windom at the age of 51 years. Merle will be remembered for his love of polka music, watching sports-especially the Minnesota Vikings and Twins, tractors, cheeseburgers, Disney Memorabilia, holidays-especially Halloween and spending time with his family and friends. Merle is survived by his mother, Gladys Bass of Springfield; two brothers, Daniel (Kim) Bass of Mankato; Timothy Bass (Darial Klabunde) of Springfield; three nieces and a nephew, Chelsey (Mike) Mastalski, Molly Bass, Seth Bass, and Kayla Bass; one great-niece, Jaidyn Mastalski, and many other relatives and friends. Merle is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Bass; and Maternal and Paternal Grandparents. Blessed be the memory of Merle Bass.
