Myron Theesfeld, age 90, of Windom, passed away on Saturday, November 6th, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Myron Curtis Theesfeld was born on February 27, 1931, to William and Emma (Witt) Theesfeld in Mt. Lake, MN. He attended Wilder School. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1953 and served his country honorably until being discharged in 1955. On September 11, 1955, Myron married Lois Annette Arends. The marriage was blessed with five children, Steven, Rodney, Sherri, Linda and Lisa. Myron farmed all his life. He was a hard worker and was very resourceful, with an ability to fix most anything. He retired from farming in 1993. Myron enjoyed maintaining the family farm, watching sports, family celebrations, travelling, and card club with friends and neighbors. Myron was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Windom. He was an active member as an usher, trustee, finance committee, and dart ball. Myron is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lois; children, Steven (Pam) Theesfeld of Windom; Rodney (Mary) Theesfeld of Windom; Sherri Lyons of Windom; Linda (Gary) Remmers of Heron Lake; and Lisa (Cody) Duroe of Jeffers; twelve grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Myron was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma Theesfeld; one brother, Russell (Shirley) Theesfeld of Windom; and one sister, Judy (Ike) Goesner. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Myron Theesfeld, age 90, of Windom, will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 11th, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, in Windom, with Reverend Paul Sajban officiating. Burial will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Windom. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10th, at the LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom and on Thursday, November 11th for one hour prior to the service at the church in Windom.
