Naomi Jean Harris was born on June 9, 1926, in Fairmont, Minnesota to the late Rollie Ramon and Jessie Lenore (Haldeman) Sisson. Naomi was raised in Fairmont and lived there until moving to Windom in 1981. She was united in marriage to Frank Petrie and this marriage later ended in divorce. She was then united in marriage to Earl Danielson in 1954. Earl passed away in 1972. On July 31, 1976, Naomi was united in marriage to Russell Lee Harris in Ceylon. Russell passed away in 2011. Through the years, Naomi worked at canning factory in Fairmont and then worked at the Ceylon and Windom Cafes as a waitress, bartender and cook. She then worked at Ag Builders in Windom as a bookkeeper before retiring in October of 2012. Recently, Naomi's health began to decline and on Wednesday morning, April 10, 2013, Naomi passed away at her home in Windom at the age of 86 years. Naomi will be remembered for many things in life including, her enjoyment of crocheting, being out going, having a "heart of gold" and always willing to help others. Naomi is survived by her seven children, Jeanne Petrei of Wendell, NC; Pamela "Penny" Huddleston of Wendell, NC; Christine Hieronymus of Morgan; Ronald (Barb) Danielson of Lake Crystal; Jenny "Jackie" Peterson of Fairmont; Richard (Tari) Danielson of Fairmont; Georgia Kelsh of Bismarck, ND; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Maxine Bussa of Windom; Phyllis (Leo) Nepple of Chatfield; and several nieces and nephews. Naomi is preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; three brothers and one sister.
