Obituary

Naomi was the daughter of the late Nathaniel R. Peterson and Josephine M.M. "Jo" Peterson Salthe. She was born in Windom, Minnesota on July 19, 1971, and resided with her parents on a farm near Mountain Lake, Minnesota. When Naomi was 2 years old, the family moved to Jackson, Minnesota where she lived until the time of her death.

Naomi graduated from Jackson High School in 1990. She later pursued her studies and received an Associates of Applied Science in business administration from National American University in 2010. She continued her studies at Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia, and was conferred the degree of Bachelor of Science Psychology: Crisis Counseling in 2016.

Naomi began her work life with Hardee's restaurant in Jackson where she worked until she began employment in housekeeping with the Sanford Jackson Hospital. Later she began working for an insurance verification company that currently is COTIVITI, as a Payment Accuracy Specialist and had a good work relationship with her lead director, Julie Stevenson.

Naomi was passionate for life. Whatever her current project was she gave 100%. Naomi voluntarily served as school administrator for Calvary Chapel Bible College in Spencer, Iowa from 2015-2018. She worked tirelessly for the benefit of the Bible training school and its staff and students. In recent years, she had been involved with the Christian social media group of Polaha Chatauqua, an international chat group that encourages and promotes Christian actor and author, Kristoffer Polaha. She was a great fan of the musical group Rascal Flatts and actively followed their concerts. She loved NASCAR racing, with her favorites being Dale Earnhart Jr. and Jeff Gordon (#24). One of the biggest thrills of her life was to tour the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

Naomi's life verse was Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
