Norma June Imker was born on June 20, 1929 in Wilder, Minnesota to Robert and Alma (Miller) Rank. She attended country school between Westbrook, Minnesota and Walnut Grove, Minnesota.
In 1955, Norma was united in marriage to James Lackie in Wanda, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with one son, Doug. Norma worked as a nurse in Westbrook and Lamberton. James passed away in 1976.
In 1980, Norma was united in marriage to Lester Imker in Lamberton. They lived in Lamberton for many years where they farmed and later moved to Spicer, Minnesota and Tracy, Minnesota in their later years. In 2010, Norma moved into the Valley View Manor in Lamberton. She passed away on Thursday morning, June 3, 2010 at the New Ulm Hospital at the age of 80.
Norma was a member of the Lutheran Church in Milroy. She enjoyed plants, gardening, crocheting, knitting, painting, arts and crafts and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Lester Imker of Lamberton; one son, Doug Lackie of Milroy; two grandchildren, Bailey Lackie and Andrew Lackie; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James; three brothers, Dallas Rank, Duane Rank, and Robert Rank; and one sister, Doris "Doddie" Bashans.
