Obituary

A Celebration of Life Service for Norma Rosin, age 81, of rural Windom, will be held Friday, January 23rd at 11:00 AM at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Heron Lake, with a time of visitation and gathering one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Norma Jean (Rindfleisch) Rosin, daughter of Fred (Toby) and Blanche (Kuehl) Rindfleisch, was born on August 22, 1944, in Heron Lake, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at the ELC of Heron Lake and graduated from Heron Lake in 1962. While in school, she was involved in several activities including class plays, choir and playing the drums in band.

After high school she moved to Madelia, Minnesota where she worked at the local telephone company. It was there she met and married John Schultz. This marriage was later dissolved. Norma would go on to become a regional manager at NW Bell Company. This job took her to Willmar; Faribault, Denver, CO; and lastly Rochester, Minnesota. In 1982, Norma was involved in an automobile accident that left her disabled.

On September 8, 1984, Norma married Dennis Rosin and this marriage blessed her with 2 stepdaughters, Pam and Connie. She helped with raising the girls and worked and helped Dennis on the farm until entering the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom in 2022.

Norma was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Heron Lake. She loved to travel, enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, and reading paperbacks. Ask her out to eat and she would never turn you down, cooking was not her favorite thing. She had a love for all the stray/farm cats, they ate better than most house cats. She also loved to garden and had  ¼ mile long sweet corn rows one year.

Norma entered in the presence of the Lord on January 11, 2026. She is now at peace in the arms of her Savior.

Norma is survived by her husband of forty-one years, Dennis Rosin of rural Windom; stepdaughters, Pam (Dan) Gullickson of Elba and Connie (Mike) Waldner of Brandon, SD; brother, Luvern (Kike) Rindfleisch of Redwood Falls; sister, Carolyn Janssen of Windom; step grandchildren, Ben (Jeannine) Malchow; Bridgette (Dustin DeCoteau) Malchow; Brandi (Justin) Warfield; Branden (Annie Goodwin) Waldner; Rachel (Lemuel) Uhrig; Abby (Isaiah) Klosterman; Seth, Riley and Colton Waldner; 5 step great grandchildren; sister-in-law, LeAnn (Paul) Ellingson of Arizona and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
