A Celebration of Life Service to honor the life and legacy of Paula Bernardy will be held Monday, December 1st at 2:00 PM at LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom, with a visitation for one hour prior to the service.

Paula Bernardy passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23rd in Luverne, Minnesota.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sanford Hospice.

Paula Jean Bernardy, born on October 18th, 1964 to Melvin and Lillyanne Easterday in Worthington MN, she grew up in Brewster where she went to school and graduated from Brewster Highschool in 1983. Paula went to college and got an associates degree to work with challenged children, then worked at Boys Town in Nebraska, she then also worked at the Good Samaritan nursing home, home care work and various similar places.

Paula and Patrick (Bernardy) were united in marriage on September 20th, 2012, at Telcot Lake County Park, where she enjoyed many weekends of camping. Through their marriage, Paula lovingly welcomed Patrick's three children into her life as her own. When camping wasn't in season she would spend some of her free time throwing darts, collecting angles and bells or cross stitching.

Paula left a lasting positive impression on many people and will be missed by many.

Paula was survived by her husband Patrick of Jeffers MN, three (step)children; Katie (Austin) Bernardy of Morgan MN, Kelly Bernardy and Ty Bernardy of Seaforth MN, her siblings; Carol Fox of Hartford WI, Michael (Sandy) Easterday of Adrian MN, Jim Easterday of Brewster MN, Kevin Easterday of Lake Crystal MN, her brother/sister in laws; Jane (Ron) Baune of wabasso, Donna Bernardy of Walnut Grove, Michael (Jenell) Bernardy of Parkers Prairie, Mary (Roger) VanDam of Redwood Falls, Rita (Al) Curry of Redwood Falls, Barbara Bernardy of Redwood Falls, Daniel Bernardy of Redwood Falls, Joseph Bernardy of Lucan, Glen (Dawn) Bernardy of Lucan, Julia (Jerry) Schwint of Redwood Falls, Mark Bernardy of Milroy, JoAnn (Troy) Werk of Victoria, Teresa (Jason) Norcutt of Lucan, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Lillyanne Easterday, her brother Jerry Easterday, her mother and father in law Norbert and Lucy Bernardy, her brother in law Charles Bernardy, and sister in law Bonnie Bernardy, and the many beloved pets she had in her life
