A Celebration of Life Visitation to honor the life and legacy of Randy Schenk, age 69, of Windom, will be held Friday, September 27th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom. A private, family graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 28th at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom .

The family invites you to a Welcome Home Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 28th at 3 PM at the Schenk Residence on Fish Lake, 630 South Shore Drive, Windom, MN. In keeping with Randy's wishes, please wear camouflage if you have it.

Randy Anton Schenk was born on June 30, 1955, to Arnold and Carol Schenk of Jeffers. Randy had a deep passion for farming, a way of life that connected him to the land and to the community he loved. His dedication to the farm, hard work and care for the land will be a lasting testament to his character. Randy found joy in hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and indulging in the sweet treats Carol would make for him.

Randy embodied Agape love, showing unconditional care and compassion to everyone around him. He often spoke about the importance of standing on a firm foundation, likening it to standing on a rock—solid, unwavering, and grounded in faith and values. Randy guided his children and grandchildren with this same strength, teaching them not only how to live but how to love deeply and walk through life with integrity and purpose. His wisdom and example will forever be a guiding light for his family. May he rest in peace, forever remembered with love and gratitude.

Randy passed away peacefully at his home in rural Windom surrounded by his loving family on September 16, 2024, at the age of 69 years.

Randy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a dear friend to many. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Carol, along with his children Jody (Spencer) Holmen of Byron, MN, Dion (Leah) Blount of St. Clair, MN, Spencer Schenk of Brandon, SD, Amanda (Joe) Gilbertson of Detroit Lakes, MN, Sheena (James) Sanow of Marshall, MN, and his grandchildren, all of whom loved him dearly and will forever cherish the memories they created together.
