Ricky "Rick" O. Twait was born on February 23, 1952, in Windom, Minnesota to the late Henry "Hank" and Mary Lou (Chester) Twait. He received his education in the Windom Public Schools; graduating in the Class of 1970. He then furthered his education at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1974. On June 4, 1977, Rick was united in marriage to Lori Beich in Windom. After marriage, Rick continued teaching for the Chaska School District as an Earth Science Teacher until his retirement in 2012. Rick had many enjoyments in life which included baseball, golfing, watching Minnesota professional sports, and coaching his children through the years in various sports. Since 2008, he was the announcer for Kyle's baseball team, the Cologne Hollanders. On Monday, September 18, 2017, Rick was called to his heavenly home at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota at the age of 65 years. Rick is survived by his wife, Lori Twait of Chaska; two children, Tegan (Ryan) Nelson of Woodbury and Kyle Twait of Chaska; sister, Jane Nelson and her husband, Rick, of Northfield; cousins, Char Bryan (Gerry Gjerdingen) of Eden Prairie and Barb Wynne (Hal Huber) of St. Louis, MO; his beloved dog, "Buddy"; and several nieces and nephews.
