Rita Joy Rostomily Rasche, age 91, of Jackson, died Sunday, November 19, 2023, at her home. Rita was born on July 6, 1932, in Heron Lake, she was the daughter of the late John E. "Jack" and Julia "Juel" (Stueve) Rostomily. Rita grew up on the family farm in Lacrosse Township. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Heron Lake High School in 1950.

Rita worked for the State Office in St. Paul, MN, the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C., Schumacher's Nursery in Heron Lake, and Lakeview Nursing Home in Heron Lake, before retiring in 1995. In retirement, Rita enjoyed dancing, reading, and crossword puzzles.

To honor Rita's wishes, the family has chosen to remember her without public services.
