Robert (Bob) "Junior" Frericks Jr. was born May 23, 1958, to Robert Frericks Sr. and Delores (Plaetz) Frericks. Bob went to elementary school at St. Anne's School, Wabasso MN and to Wabasso Public School for high school. Following high school, Bob continued to work at the family business of Frericks Oil as a fuel delivery man; as well as, the Snapper business, where he fixed small engines. Following the family business, Bob continued to work as a fuel man for Cenex in Lamberton, and then worked at Country Pride Services out of Windom/Bingham Lake, as a fuel man and petroleum manager; until he retired in February 2022.
Bob married Sandy from 1981-2001. Bob was blessed with two children who meant the world to him: Derek Frericks and Shayla Frericks. October 2012 Bob married Cheryl Nelson; and the marriage brought stepson, Ryan Nelson.
In Bob's spare time, he partook in the Wanda Mowing Bee, helped coach the Wanda Girls Softball Team with Paul Altermatt, was a 4-H leader, and on the Wanda Fire Department. Bob also enjoyed fishing, hunting, grilling, family cabin get-togethers at Mill Lake, gardening (which he could grow veggies like no one else), playing with his special dog, Tyson, spending time with family and friends, spoiling his step-granddaughters, and painting. Many may have not known that Bob was an amazing painter and drawer, a true artist.
Bob was a well-known man around the area for his infectious laugh, heart of gold, a loving father, brother, son, husband, man, and his absolute best sense of humor and joking. He was not a complainer and was always a very hard worker. It was very hard for Bob to sit still; always finding something to do in his spare time.
Robert passed away on July 7, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Windom, MN at the age of 64, following a very courageous battle with cancer.
