Rodney John Molitor was born on July 31, 1952 in Windom, Minnesota to the late Gilbert J. and Mary Lucille (Barrett) Molitor. He was baptized and confirmed at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom. Rodney received his education in the Windom Public Schools; graduating in the Class of 1970 then he attended St. Thomas University in St. Paul.
Rodney was a longtime Boy Scout and received the Order of the Arrow and the Eagle Scout Award. Rodney wants to be remembered as how people knew him-with high hopes that he touched their hearts with his heart in a very meaningful way. Through the years, Rodney lived in Worthington, Little Falls and Brainerd. On April 29, 2019, Rodney passed away at the Central Minnesota Senior Care in Brainerd at the age of 66 years.
Rodney is survived by his four siblings, Gordon (Suellen) Molitor of Portland, OR; Margaret Horkey of Windom; Kathleen (Robert) Hendrickson of St. Louis Park; Fay (Jonathan) Peterson of Papillion, NE; seven nieces and nephews, Rachel Molitor; Joshua and Ryan Horkey; Erik, Evan and Paul Hendrickson; Merinda (Peterson) Collins; four great-nieces and nephews, Idara Molitor; Logan and Maysen Horkey; Gilbert Horkey; and several other relatives and friends.
Rodney is preceded in death by his parents.
