An Open House Celebration of Life Service to honor the life and legacy of Rodney Johnson, age 74, of Bloomington, will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 3 to 6 PM at the American Legion Hall in Jackson. Private Family Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Jackson.

Rodney (Rod) Alan Johnson, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Bloomington, MN on December 29, 2025.

Rod was born in Jackson, MN on June 28, 1951, to Dennis and Lillian Johnson. He graduated from Jackson High School Class of 1969. His time at Mankato State University was a life highlight.

Rod is survived and missed by his loving wife Cathy; his mother Lillian Larson; his brothers Mike (Mary) Johnson, Brent (Jennifer) Larson; nieces Jessica (Brad) Harder, Kate Larson, and Emma (Thomas) Haskell.

He was preceded in death by his father Dennis Johnson and followed in death by his stepfather Carl Larson.

Rod’s sense of humor and easy-going nature will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
