Ronald "Curly" Lammers was born on November 14, 1934, in Kasota, Minnesota to Paul and Irma (Rogers) Lammers. He moved with his family to Windom, Minnesota in 1947. He received his education from Windom Public Schools and graduated in 1952. After graduating, Ron enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1959. Then he started working at Toro until he decided to go back to school for accounting, graduating with his Accounting Degree in 1973 from Jackson Area Vocational Technical Institute. Ron met Mary Ann Gajdosik, in 1963, through some of his relatives. The couple have been together for 58 years. Mary Ann was truly his best friend and the love of his life. Ronald was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom. Ron had many enjoyments in life such as, hunting, riding motorcycles, taking road trips to enjoy a good meal, and watching hockey. Every year Ron and his buddies would take a hunting trip to Wyoming. Ron put on thousands and thousands of miles riding his motorcycle all over the country. He was a member of the Prairie Riders Motorcycle Club, and they would meet once a month and go ride and then all go enjoy a meal at various restaurants. Ron and his friend, Galen, won Fans of the Year for hockey. They never missed one of his great nephews, Jamie's hockey games. Ron loved watching Jamie play hockey. Ron passed away peacefully on Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne at the age of 86 years. Ron is survived by the love of his life, Mary Ann Gajdosik, nieces, Linda (Randy) Torkelson of Windom and Phyllis (Tim) Lindemann of Windom; great nieces, Jessica Torkelson of Windom, and Hilary (Bryce) Mathis of Windom and eight great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lois Johnson and brother-in-law Richard Johnson and great nephew Jamie Torkelson.
