Obituary

Ronald Carl Pabst was born on April 16, 1945, to Erma (Wilkins) and Carl Pabst in Springfield, MN. He and his twin brother, Don, were welcomed home by their sisters, Jean and Patricia. They were later joined by two more brothers, Robert and Carl Jr. and a sister, Beverly. The Pabst family made their home in the Jeffers area. Ronald passed away unexpectedly at his home in Willmar on July 22, 2022. Throughout his life, Ron Lived in many different care facilities in Minnesota. He finally found his "home" in Willmar and has resided in the same house since 1994. While living here, Ron was employed at Crossroads DT&H where he was a long-time member of the "kitchen crew" that worked at the Willmar Regional Treatment Center. When Crossroads closed in 2016, Ron worked at NuVisions until his retirement in 2018. While at NuVisions, Ron and a co-worker were featured in the local paper for their volunteer work at the greenhouse. Ron was an avid sports fan and could always be counted on to know the scores and standings of the MN Twins and Vikings. He enjoyed both watching games on tv and listening to them on the radio. Ron loved his pop and cheeseburgers and was working on finding the best burger in Southern Minnesota. Ron also enjoyed playing horseshoes, his men's bible study group, spending time with his family and loved celebrating his birthday with his twin brother Don. Ron is survived by his sister, Jean Pabst of Jackson; two brothers, Donald Pabst, and Carl Pabst Jr. of Windom; brother-in-law, Lowell Wallace of Wisconsin, and niece, Angel (Karl) Gutha, of Wisconsin. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Patricia Wallace, and Beverly Smerling; and brother, Robert Pabst. Thanks to the many dedicated staff that loved and cared for Ronald through the years. He was blessed to have great supports that treated him like family
