Obituary

Rosalie "Rose" Vivian Crispin was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on April 21, 1951 to Irvin and Alice (Dehne) Gottschalk. Rose was baptized in Fort Dodge and later moved to the rural Windom area in 1959 and was confirmed at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom. She attended Country School and graduated from Windom High School in the class of 1969. Rose was united in marriage on June 14, 1969, to William "Bill" Crispin Jr. This marriage was blessed with a daughter, Nicole. Rose was a stay at home mom until she began working at Balzer's where she worked for almost 40 years, until retiring in 2015. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Rose enjoyed her motorcycle trips all around the United States. Her grandson's were everything to her as she attended all their sporting events, concerts, and cattle shows. Rose also thoroughly enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables from her garden. In 2017, Rose was diagnosed with ALS, which she fought until passing away on April 8, 2019 at Windom Area Health, at the age of 67. Rose is survived by her husband of 49 years William "Bill" Crispin Jr.; her daughter, Nicole (Edward II) Yonker of Bingham Lake; two grandsons, Austin Yonker and Braden Yonker of Bingham Lake; two sisters, Jeanne (Charlie) Johnson of Deerwood, and LaDonna Gersch of St. James; three nieces and families, Tanya (Shonn) Wille and children (Taylor and Coleton) of Ironton, Monica (Steve) Windorski and children (Ryan, Tori, Jonathan, Kayla and Keaton) of Brainerd, and Angie Johnson and children (Dylan, Addison, Katie and August) of Crosby. Rose is preceded in death by her parents, parents in law and aunts, uncles and cousins. Blessed be the memory of Rosalie "Rose" Vivian Crispin.
