Rubie M. Buller was born on October 12, 1929, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota to the late John R. and Marie (Pankratz) Peters. She received her education in the Mountain Lake Public Schools; graduating in the Class of 1947. On February 10, 1948, Rubie was united in marriage to Elmer Buller at the Gospel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake. After marriage, they lived in Mountain Lake where they raised four energetic boys. Rubie was a wonderful wife, mom and grandma. Through the years, Rubie worked at Fingerhut before becoming the School Food Service Director for the Mountain Lake Public Schools for twenty-three years until her retirement. Recently, Rubie was hospitalized at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. She passed away there peacefully on Monday morning, March 19th, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Rubie was a longtime member of the Lakeview Gospel Church in Mountain Lake. Rubie is survived by her husband of seventy-years, Elmer Buller of Mountain Lake; four sons, David (Linda) Buller of Mountain Lake; Walt (Cindy) Buller of International Falls; Richard (Jean Ann) Buller of Minneapolis; Larry Buller of Mankato; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Clarence Peters of Rice Lake, WI; Dennis (Arbie) Peters of Arizona; one sister, Darlene (Duwayne) Olson of St. Cloud; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Rubie is preceded in death by her parents; and one grandchild, Carly Buller.
