A Celebration of Life Visitation for Sharon Schroeder, age 84, of Windom, will be held Friday, March 8th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom.

Sharon Caroline Schroeder was born to the late Elmer and Caroline (Breeze) Leebens on January 14, 1940, in Fulda, Minnesota. She attended country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Fulda High School with the class of 1958. Shortly after graduation she was united in marriage to Ed Muller. Ed passed away unexpectedly a short two months later.

Sharon met and fell in love with Ralph Schroeder. The two were united in marriage in June of 1960. They lived together near Slayton and later moved to Windom. Their marriage was blessed with five boys: Dean, Dennis, Douglas, Dale, and Dan. They lived happily in Windom until Ralph's passing in 1996.

Throughout her life Sharon worked a variety of jobs but was passionate about her work at the Home for Creative Living. She spent 22 years there until deciding to retire in 2014. After retirement, Sharon moved from Windom to Jeffers until September of 2022 when she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society – Sogge Memorial in Windom.

Sharon Schroeder passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19th, at the Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Sharon is survived by her children, Dean (Deb) Schroeder of Windom, Denny (Dawn) Schroeder of Tracy, Dale (Sandra) Schroeder of Casa Grande, AZ, Dan (Tami) Schroeder of Lakefield; daughter-in-law, Shannon Schroeder of Jeffers; brothers, Lonnie Leebens of Fulda, Roger (Janel) Leebens of Sioux Falls, SD; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Caroline Leebens; husband, Ed Muller; husband Ralph Schroeder; son, Doug Schroeder; sister-in-law, Marian Leebens, and great-grandson, Abel Dolney.
