Obituary

Shelby Woizeschke, age 24, passed away tragically on February 6, 2022, at the Avera McKennan Hospital is Sioux Falls, SD, after falling victim to domestic violence. Shelby Lynn Woizeschke was born on December 23, 1997, to Mark Woizeschke and Shannon Daberkow in Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up in Windom, MN, attended Winfair Elementary School and Windom High School, graduating with the class of 2016. Shelby had a vibrant personality. She was active in high school and participated in track- shot put and discus, volleyball, and softball, and fixed hair for the school musicals. Shelby enjoyed figure skating and skated with the Windom Figure Skating Club. She started the Dog Walk for her Senior Achievement Project. After high school, Shelby moved to Willmar, MN. Her sons, William and Charles, were born there. She later moved to Spirit Lake and Milford, IA, before settling in Spencer, IA, and she was employed with Grape Tree Medical in Milford, IA. Shelby loved animals, painting, and everything pink, as well as winter and all things associated with snow and snowmobiling. However, her greatest passion was being a mom. On February 3rd, Shelby became a victim of domestic violence outside of her workplace in Milford. She was immediately airlifted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, where she passed away on Sunday, February 6th. Shelby was an organ donor and with her passing, her organs have saved three lives thus far. Shelby's legacy will continue to better the lives of many more donor recipients. Shelby is survived by her two sons, William (4) and Charles (3) of Spirit Lake, IA; fiancé, Trey Tesch of Spencer, IA; father, Mark Woizeschke of Windom, MN; mother, Shannon Daberkow of Willmar, MN; sister, Ashley Woizeschke of Spirit Lake, IA; brother, Anthony Daberkow of Jackson, MN; grandparents, Marvel Woizeschke of Windom, MN and Clyde & Juanita Daberkow of Lakefield, MN; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
