Sue Ellen Andino, age 74, a resident of Mickkelson Manor in Windom, passed away unexpectedly at Windom Area Health on the evening of Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Sue Ellen (Monroe) Andino was born on October 28, 1946, to Donald & Dorthy (Laverty) Monroe in Blue Island, Illinois. She grew up in Midlothian, IL and was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith. Sue Ellen attended Bremen High School and graduated with the class of 1964. In May 1972, Sue Ellen married Angel Luis Andino. The union was blessed with four children, Angel, Jr., Rebecca, Steven Angel and Kelly. The family lived in Highwood, IL from 1972-1993. Sue Ellen's family grew to include thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sue Ellen worked much of her life as a waitress. She moved to Sioux Falls, SD from 1993-2005. In 2005, she moved to Windom, MN. She was worked at McDonald's in Windom and provided a friendly face for customers for 12 years. Sue Ellen loved all sports and animals. As an Illinois native, Sue Ellen was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. She worked at Sertoma Bingo, and in her free time, she enjoyed doing puzzles and playing bingo. Sue Ellen is survived by her mother, Dorthy Monroe; children, Angel Andino, Jr. of Sioux Falls, SD; Rebecca "Becki" Maras of Windom; Steven Angel (Kati) Andino of Sioux Falls, SD; and Kelly (Chad) Pearson of Sioux Falls, SD; thirteen grandchildren, Lisa, Sean (Haley), Madison (Hunter Hayenga), Justyce, Angelee, Olivia, Tanner, Haylee, Treysean, Aiden, Mateo, Jayda and Eagan; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Chloe and Silas; and nieces and nephews. Sue Ellen was preceded in death by her father, Donald George Monroe; mother-in-law, Maria Leonarda Andino; and one brother, James Donald Monroe. Blessed be the memory of Sue Ellen Andino. A Visitation and Time of Gathering for Sue Ellen Andino, age 74, of Windom, will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6th at the LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom, followed by a graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom, MN with Andrew Underwood officiating.
