Timothy Allen Benson was born in Windom, MN on April 12th, 1958. He was one of 13 children. Tim's parents were the late Dennis Benson and Nola Mae (Hale) Benson. Tim attended Windom Public schools and later worked in the area. He moved to Prior Lake, MN in 1991 where he worked at Little Six Casino and helped with the opening of Mystic Lake Casino where he continued to work for several years. He then got a job at Northstar Auto Auction in Shakopee, MN where he worked for 20 years until he was laid off in 2017. Tim's most recent employment was working at the Burnsville Mall. In October of 2000, Tim and his then, fiancé, Cheryl Ann Rasche accepted Jesus Christ as their savior and on July 14th, 2001, they were united in marriage at Celebration Church in Lakeville MN by the late Pastor Lowell Lundstrom. Tim and Cheryl resided in Burnsville, MN. On November 24th, 2021 Tim became ill and was hospitalized on November 29th. He peacefully passed away with his wife by his side on December 15th, 2021. Tim was a hard worker, loyal, loving, kind, caring and fun. He had a great sense of humor and brought smiles and laughter to everyone he knew. He enjoyed exploring life outdoors with his wife and their little dog, Bo. He loved his family, was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Tim was preceded in death by his parents Nola and Dennis Benson, and three brothers, Bill Eidem, Don Benson, and Steve Benson. Survivors include wife Cheryl Benson; brothers Jim Hale, Wayne Benson, Dean Benson, Scott Benson and Tom Benson; sisters Gerri Wehmeyer, Judi Jurgens, Deanna Benson, and Vickie Benson; nieces and nephews.
