Thomas Carl Cregeen, known lovingly as Tom, Grandpa Tom, and Pops, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29th, at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 75.

Tom was born on May 10th, 1950, in Jackson, Minnesota, to Carl and Lillian (Goede) Cregeen. He spent nearly his entire life in Jackson, a community he loved and where he built lasting relationships and raised his family.

Tom attended Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, where he studied business. He pursued several careers throughout his life—operating his own trucking business, working as an X-ray technician, and eventually returning to the road to drive for Crystal Valley Co-op. No matter the role, Tom was known for his dedication, pride in his work, and unwavering reliability.

Tom cherished time spent visiting the local bar, sharing conversation and laughter with friends, his "happy hour guys," and family. In recent years he developed a true passion for 8-ball billiards. He was a proud and key member of the local pool league team, Checking Angles, playing alongside other family members and finding joy, challenge, and camaraderie in the game.

Family was the heart of Tom's world. He never missed a family event and showed up with enthusiasm, support, and love every time. Tom is survived by his children Angie (Ben) Crees of Jackson, Estee Cregeen of Jackson, Connor (Bailee) Cregeen of Jackson, and his bonus son Brandon Chonko. He is also survived by his sister Cheryl Tucker; his grandchildren Madison Cregeen, Gavin Mulder, Alyssa Bennett, Alexis (Keaton) Storm, Raden Muongkhot, Tieran Muongkhot, and Kaizen Muongkhot. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Roger.

Tom's presence—warm, dependable, and full of good humor—will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
