Our Precious, Valerie Ann Jeppesen, 62, went home to heaven on Wednesday, August 20th in Windom, Minnesota. Val was born and baptized in Redwood Falls Hospital to Russell and Mary (Wendland) Jeppesen and later confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Morgan. She lived at home with her parents and siblings until she was 21 years old. When she was old enough to go to school, she attended Redwood Falls Special Ed program. The first year she attended school, she stayed with a family in Redwood Falls during the week and went home on weekends. Val graduated from Redwood Falls High School in the spring of 1984.
Val made her home in Windom since October 1984 and has made friends for over 42 years, making a lasting impression on all those she met. She was "mother", sister, and friend to her housemates and staff.
Val is survived by her mother, Mary (Wendland) Jeppesen of Springfield, MN; her siblings, Barbara (Randy) Samarzia of Holyoke, MN, Michael (Shirley) Jeppesen of Miltona, MN, Peggy (Doug) Anderson of Ghent, MN, Ben (Kristel) Jeppesen of Morgan, MN, Jaysen (Danielle) Jeppesen of Boone, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Russell Jeppesen; nephew, Chad Jeppesen; special friend, Mervin; Godparents, Marvin and Fern Wendland and other close friends.
She was a gracious hostess, loved to tease and gave the best hugs, being loved by one and all. She was our angel. Rest in peace, dear Valerie.
Valerie's family would like to thank the HSI staff for the wonderful care they provided over the years.
