Wilda Lou Pankratz was born March 26, 1930 in Elkhart, Indiana to Elmer and Juanita Kentner Garberick. She was baptized in 1946 at the 1ST Baptist Church in Elkhart, Indiana.
She graduated from Elkhart High School in 1948. She then went on to college at Northwest Bible College in Minneapolis, MN where she graduated in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bible and Christian Education with a minor in Minor Elementary Education.
She was employed a Miles Laboratory in Elkhart and Mt Lake Christian School. She also worked at the Good SamaritanVillage of Mt Lake.
Wilda was united in marriage to Marlin Pankratz on February 07, 1959 at the Mc Coy Memorial Baptist Church in Elkhart, Indiana. To this marriage two children were born, Debera and Mark.
Wilda enjoyed spending time with family, quilt making, bird watching, watching the Vikings, travelling with Marlin, and homemaking.
She passed away peacefully on October 11, 2020 at the Windom Area Hospital. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Doug) Wellman and Mark Pankratz of Mountain Lake and her grandson Shane Wellman of Rochester. Also Sisters in law Judy Garberick and husband Tom Wallace of Grainger, Indiana, Brothers in Law Loren (Leesa) Pankratz of Larkspar, Colorado, Bob (Sherry) Pankratz of Mt Lake, and Ed Neufeld and wife Sherie of Overland Park, Kansas, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marlin in 2014, her brother Thayne Garberick, and sister in laws Margaret Gazda and Laura Neufeld.
There will be a private service with only family that will be held at a later date.
