A Celebration of Life Service for William "Bill" Boell, age 94 of Jackson, MN will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 10th at LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Jackson, with Pastor Russ Steele officiating. Full Military honors will follow the service at LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Jackson. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Jackson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10th from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Jackson.

William "Bill" Boell was born on September 29, 1928, to the late Louis and Lydia (Libra) Boell in Jackson, Minnesota. Bill graduated from Jackson High School set many high school football records that have not been broken yet including most touchdowns in a game. After high school, Bill enlisted into the Army National Guard and served in the Korean War from December 26, 1950, until he was honorably discharged on March 7, 1952. Bill was incredibly proud that he was a 70-year member of the American Legion.

Bill was united in marriage in 1970 to Berniece (Hartung) Boell. Bill and Berniece shared three children together, Connie Macek, Mary Johannsen, and the late Milo Ballard Jr.

Bill was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Jackson. Through the years, Bill worked for Jackson County as a maintenance worker for twenty-nine years. Bill enjoyed walking, puzzles, and watching the Minnesota Vikings. Together, Bill and Berniece loved to plan parties and entertain their family and friends.

Left to cherish Bill's memory are his two stepdaughters, Connie (John) Macek of Jackson, MN and Mary (Kent) Johannsen of Jackson, MN; one stepdaughter-in-law, Margo Ballard of Sherburn, MN; seven grandchildren, Mark, David, Brian, Randy, Wendy, Cory, and Dawn; 18 great grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Arnie Henning of Jackson and many nieces and nephews.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Lydia Boell; his wife, Berniece Boell; one stepson, Milo Ballard Jr; one brother, Howard Boell; and two sisters, Bonnie and Jane.
