William Fay Sirovy Jr., III was born on October 23, 1958, in Jackson, Minnesota, to the late William II and Evonne (Rossow) Sirovy. He attended Jackson Public Schools and graduated in the class of 1977. He was very athletic playing football, basketball and track.
As a youth, Bill worked on trucks for his Dad's company, MTS Trucking doing maintenance work, changing tires and oil. At the age of 14 he started driving. He thought he was the coolest kid in town driving a semi to the car wash. Bill drove for his Dad and other companies for several years then worked selling truck parts. He was very analytical and extremely knowledgeable of diesel engines. He enjoyed helping customers with trouble shooting and became good friends with many of them. He then returned to what he really enjoyed, driving. Bill retired in Sept 2023 ending his career hauling fuel for Wess, Inc.
Bill was known to be authentic, straight forward, honest, truthful, and blunt. Bill always spoke his mind. One of his often-used phrases was "I don't have time to sugar-coat."
Bill met Jeri Harstad in 1982. Together they enjoyed riding cycles, jet skis and snowmobiles. They raced go-karts and did snowmobile radar runs. After being together for 24 years they were married Jan 10, 2006, on a snowmobile trip at Togwotee Pass, Wyoming.
Bill's happiest hours were in his shop "the laboratory" where he liked to modify anything that had a motor. His motto was "you can't have enough power." He liked riding cycles and on group rides, his great sense of navigation made him Road Captain. He enjoyed many hunting trips with his dad, Uncle Farrell, Colin, Brett, Ryan and Jeremy. He had a private pilot license and enjoyed following NHRA. His biggest enjoyment was eating, and could really put it away.
On October 26, 2025, Bill lost his two-year battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by love from his wife in rural Jackson at the age of 67 years.
Left to cherish his loving memory are his wife, Jeri of Jackson; mother, Evonne Sirovy; sisters, Callie of Madelia, Melissa of Trimont; brother, Colin of Jackson; sister-in-law Amy (Jim) Stefferud; brothers in-law, Steve and Don; fur babies, Josie, Tyler, Carson; many dear friends, nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Sirovy, II and; parents-in-law, Barney and Lois Harstad.
Blessed be the memory of William "Bill" Sirovy.
