Obituary

Wyatt Arlen Schmidt was born October 7, 2014 in Worthington, MN and was given his angel wings on August 14, 2019 at Sanford Health in Windom, MN. He is the son of Leo and Natasha Schmidt and twin brother of James. Wyatt is survived by his parents, twin brother James; grandparents, Robert (Roxy) Schmidt Heron Lake, Kevin (Laura) Shefte Heron Lake, and Kimberly Shefte Paris, MO along with many great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many more loving family and friends. Wyatt is preceded in death by his great-grandpa's, Kenneth Shefte and Dennis Block; great-grandpa and grandma, Louis and Doris Schmidt; great-grandpa and grandma, and Fred and Mildred Diemer. Wyatt was the happiest little boy, always having a smile on his face and had the most uniquely distinguished, contagious laugh you had ever heard; so full of life and love. He was almost always at his brothers' side as they were inseparable and often finding mischief together. He loved being outside and never wanted to go in the house; catching frogs, toads, and bugs were often what he would be doing, sometimes even eating the bugs. Once he was able to walk, he would collect sticks outside and try to pick the flowers and would often play with the artificial flowers at grandmas. When he had to be inside, he would often build Legos and play with Marshall. James would call him "Y" for short and they would whisper back and forth to each other and then be off to find something to get in to. They were the best of friends with creative imaginations. Along with the imagination came intelligence at such a young age; asking what things were or how it worked and remarkably could remember and know how or why the next time he saw it. What one didn't think of the other did and when you would look to see you could find the mischievous smiles on their faces. He was the one who would comfort and look after you if you were hurt or sad; patting your hand or giving an open hug. Blessed be the memory of Wyatt Arlen Schmidt.
