Our Payment Policy

We understand that not every family has had the opportunity to plan ahead for funeral expenses. While we are always willing to work with families, we do ask for prompt payment for services, with a 30-day grace period before any finance charges are applied.

At LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center, we’re a small, family-owned business—and we truly rely on the families we serve to help us continue our work. To keep everything running smoothly, payment for services and merchandise is due one day after you sign the Funeral Purchase Contract. If your balance is paid in full within 30 days of that date, we’ll waive any late-payment charges. Otherwise, an 8% annual interest will apply to any outstanding balance after the first day.

All individuals who sign the Statement of Funeral Goods and Services Selected share responsibility for the total balance, and payments must be made together rather than split among purchasers. We accept the following payment methods, each designed to make things as convenient as possible:

  • Cash
  • Cashier’s Check
  • Personal check (please note a $50 fee applies to any returned check)
  • Credit cards: EFT/Debit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express (processing fee is 3.5% + 30 cent transaction fee)
  • Personal bank loans - this option may bridge the gap until estate or insurance funds become available

One of the best ways to eliminate the worry and stress of payment at the time services are needed is to plan ahead. By setting up a burial fund in advance, you can ensure that the cost of the goods and services you choose will be covered—easing the financial burden on your loved ones and allowing them to focus on honoring your life and memory.
