Services Overview

Services We Provide

When considering service options, it's important to remember that the choice to honor a life is deeply personal. At LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center, we work with families to create services that are meaningful, unique, and reflective of the life lived. Services are designed for the living, to provide comfort, connection, and an opportunity to remember and celebrate a loved one.

Families may choose from traditional services, cremation services, or a combination of the two. Combination services allow the body to be present for part of the service and then cremated, either for burial or to keep the cremated remains. Typical services can include a visitation or reviewal, a celebration of life service or memorial service, and interment or graveside services.

Selecting services is often guided by the wishes of the decedent, as well as religious or cultural considerations. Services provide a socially meaningful way to mourn and grieve, pay tribute, and begin the transition to life without the deceased. We offer a variety of options to meet the unique needs and desires of each family, ensuring that every service is a heartfelt reflection of the life being honored.

As you consider the service options that best meet your needs, please keep the following in mind:

  •  A public viewing can only take place if the body has been embalmed.
  • Visitations may be public or private, and you may choose an open or closed casket.
  • The term "commemorative service" refers to a Celebration of Life, Mass of Christian Burial, memorial service, or memorial mass.

Traditional Services

Choosing what happens to your body after death and how you would like your remains to be cared for is a very personal decision. Some people choose to have a traditional viewing or funeral with a casket, followed by either burial or cremation. Many families find comfort in having a casketed service even when cremation will follow. Your preferences can be tailored to reflect your values, faith, and budget.

Cremation Services

Choosing cremation as a final dispositon after death is a very personal decision. Cremation offers families many meaningful ways to gather, remember, and celebrate a life well lived. It provides flexibility to create a tribute that reflects your loved one's unique story and your family's wishes. Some people choose to have a traditional viewing or celebration of life with a casket, followed by cremation, while others may prefer immediate cremation. Choosing between cremation and burial doesn’t always mean choosing between a casket or not; many families find comfort in having a casketed service even when cremation will follow. Your preferences can be tailored to reflect your wishes, values and faith traditions.

Personalization

Every life tells a unique story, and a celebration of life should reflect the individual being remembered. Our funeral directors will help you create a service that captures your loved one's personality, interests, accomplishments, and the memories that meant the most.

Whether through tribute videos, personalized memorial folders and displays, special music, flowers, keepsakes, memory tables, live streaming for those unable to attend, or other meaningful details, we offer a variety of ways to create a heartfelt and lasting tribute that celebrates a life well lived.

Military Honors

We are honored to assist families in recognizing the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans. With a copy of the veteran's DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty), we can obtain a United States flag to be draped over the casket or folded and presented to the family as a lasting tribute.

We will coordinate military funeral honors by working with the local American Legion and, when eligible, active-duty military honor guards from the appropriate branch of service. Our team will guide you through the process and ensure your loved one is recognized with the dignity, gratitude, and respect they have earned.

Cemetery Monuments

A cemetery monument is a lasting tribute that provides a place of remembrance for generations to come. Through thoughtful design and personalization, a marker, monument, or memorial can tell the story of a life and reflect the unique qualities of the person being honored.

From traditional granite and bronze markers to custom designs featuring photos, artwork, inscriptions, and special details, there are many ways to create a meaningful tribute. Our team, along with our partners at Sunburst Memorials, will guide you through the design process to create a memorial that honors your loved one's life and legacy.
